Loading a dumpster the right way can save you hundreds. Here's how to maximize space and avoid costly mistakes.
Start with Flat Items
Break down furniture, flatten boxes, and lay flat items like drywall and lumber at the bottom. This creates a solid base and uses the full width of the dumpster.
Disassemble anything you can — tables, bed frames, shelving units. The more you break things down, the more you fit.
Fill Gaps with Small Debris
Once your flat base is down, fill gaps with smaller items — bags of trash, loose debris, and household items. Think of it like a puzzle: every gap is wasted space.
Don't throw items over the sides. Walk them in and place them deliberately.
Don't Overfill
The dumpster has a fill line — don't load above it. Overfilled dumpsters can't be legally transported and may incur extra fees. If you're running out of room, call us for a swap-out.
